I think my brain changed this summer.

Between being a small part of PearlDamour’s + Sean Hall’s “How To Build a Forest” and volunteering as a camp counselor at the Austin Girl’s Rock Camp, it’s been an amazing summer. Let’s add in that I had two of my 15-year old nieces, Shauna and Chrislin came to visit by themselves. Having time with a young teenager was an exercise in listening and learning. God, I love my nieces. (Jamie, who couldn’t visit owes me BIG time.)

Thank you, my people.

“You. Are. A. Beautiful. Human.” A man yelled this at the organist of the Richmond, Va. Christmas Eve screening of “It’s a Wonderful Life” back in 2008. It cracked me and Paul and my nieces up so much. We say it all the time to each other. That’s what I feel about the Summer.

You. Are. A. Beautiful. Human.
